Artwork and design
The design for the 11th ESP World Conference was inspired by the local landscapes and fauna, as well as the art of the Larrakia people, the indigenous people of the land.
Local artist Danella Lee created several art pieces for the conference, which you can see included in the final conference design.
Artist and graphic designer Rebecca Arredondo blended elements of the Larrakia art pieces with her signature style to create the conference design.
The landscapes featured in the conference banner include a woodland, mangrove and Uluru rock - a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid "Red Centre".
The animals featured across the conference design include:
Rainbow bee-eater
Crocodile
Red kangaroo
Black-necked stork
Guldian finch
Numbat
Rainbow
Lorikeet
During the event you have the chance to buy a t-shirt or canvas bag with elements of the conference design. Get your conference memento at the merchandise booth in the Foyer!
The prices are in Australian dollars:
T-shirt: $25
Canvas bag: $10
Part of the proceedings will be donated to the Keystone Foundation. The director of the Keystone Foundation, Anita Varghese, will give a keynote speech during Wednesday morning's plenary. ESP 11 would like to further highlight the Keystone Foundation project, collecting donations through our registration form as well as through the sale of conference merch.
