The conference program was designed to provide a comprehensive and well-balanced combination of plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and networking opportunities. It consisted of several key components, which are outlined below.

Program Structure

Keynote Speakers

The conference featured several keynote speakers who introduced and reflected on the central conference theme. Their inspiring presentations provided context for discussions and set the stage for knowledge exchange throughout the conference.

Parallel Sessions

Sessions were organised across multiple time blocks and covered a wide range of topics related to ecosystem services and the transition towards a nature- and people-positive Europe. Many sessions were linked to ESP Working Groups and National Networks, while others addressed emerging or cross-cutting themes.

The conference included over 75 sessions, alongside dedicated poster sessions that showcased research from across the ecosystem services community.

Pre-Conference Training Sessions

Pre-conference training sessions were held on Monday, 18 May 2026, at the Karolinum in Prague's Old Town. These sessions provided participants with opportunities for in-depth learning, skills development, and knowledge exchange ahead of the main conference program.

Marketplace and Exhibition

To strengthen the science-policy-business nexus, participants and partner organisations showcased their work during the Wednesday Exhibition, which was held alongside the second poster session.

Networking and Social Events

Networking was an integral part of the conference experience. Throughout the week, participants took part in a welcome reception, conference dinner, excursions, and other social activities, providing valuable opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and experience the cultural and natural heritage of Prague.
