Conference Program

The conference program is structured to provide a comprehensive and well-balanced combination of plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and networking opportunities. It consists of several key components, which are outlined below.

On this page, you will find detailed information on the overall conference structure, including a general program overview and the full session schedule.

Below the overall conference program, the parallel session blocks are presented in further detail. For additional information on individual sessions, including descriptions and the sessions corresponding to each ID, please visit the sessions overview page.

Program Structure

Keynote Speakers

The conference will feature several keynote speakers who will introduce and reflect on the central conference theme. Their contributions will provide context and inspiration for discussions throughout the conference.

Parallel Sessions

Sessions will take place in parallel blocks and cover a wide range of topics related to ecosystem services and the transition towards a nature-and people-positive Europe. Many sessions are linked to ESP Working Groups and National Networks, though this is not always the case.

The accepted session topics and descriptions can be found on the Sessions Overview page. In addition to the oral presentation sessions, poster sessions will also be organised.

Pre-Conference Training Sessions

Pre-conference training sessions will be held on Monday, 18 May 2026, at the Karolinum in the Old Town of Prague. These training sessions provide participants with opportunities for in-depth learning, skills development, and knowledge exchange ahead of the main conference programme.

Marketplace and Exhibition

To strengthen the science-policy-business nexus, participants and external organisations will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the Wednesday Exhibition, held alongside the second poster session.

Networking and Social Events

Networking is an important part of the conference experience. Several social and side events - including a welcome reception, conference dinner and excursions - will be organised to facilitate interaction among participants and to provide opportunities to experience and learn from the unique cultural and natural surroundings of Prague.
