How and where to buy tickets
Prague has an extensive, effective and cheap public transport system. You can use trams, buses and the metro to get just about anywhere in the city in a short span of time. Below are two links that will explain all you might need to know about how this works and how much they cost.
To look up how to get where you want to go, we recommend Google Maps or another map application along with one of Prague’s main transport apps, Litacka. The app will show you departures and arrivals of all trams, buses or the metro from specific stops (with current delays), and you can also use it to directly buy tickets.
Note: If you buy your ticket in the transport app, it is valid only 2 minutes after payment.
