Program

The conference program consisted of several parts, which are explained below.

Keynote speakers highlighted the conference theme and provided context for discussion during the conferences.

During break-out sessions various themes related to ecosystem services were presented. The themes were often, but not exclusively, related to the ESP Working Groups and National Network. Each session led by one or various hosts. Next to the break-out sessions a poster sessions was organised. 

To improve the science-policy-business nexus, we organised a business track on Thursday. The business track consisted of a full day market place and a business session. We encouraged business delegates to present a business case to the audience within this track, so participants could learn from the challenges in practice and share their knowledge in order to solve the presented challenge.

Networking is an important aspect of conference participation. Several side-events, like a welcome reception and field trip, were organised for this purpose. These enabled you to get to know other delegates, and to enjoy and learn from the beautiful and interesting surroundings of Campinas city!
